21/05/16

21 Common Terns were around the Pontoon today with 1 newly fledged Raven with no sign of the 2 fledglings from yesterday and the adults.

Observer: Michael Grant

After spending the morning at Burton Marsh and finding a family party of Raven (2 adults & 2 Juv) I headed to the Docks. On the Inlet 2 Shelduck were present which latter flew east over the Egerton Dock.

On the East Float 3 Shelduck, 5 Canada Geese, 2 Oystercatcher and 3 Cormorant were about with a few Canada's still on nests.

Canada Goose
Seacombe Ferry was productive with 9 Oystercatcher, 3 Mallard and a rather surprising find of 2 ALTANTIC GREY SEAL!!! The first time I've seen at this site but have seen Seals as far up as Port Sunlight River Park and a few years ago I even had harbour porpoise at Eastham Ferry!
